Excellent work capturing the way we all looked back then. And you're dealing with big themes here: questions about god, a major move at a tender age, a shame-filled embarrassment, and Dad's "I'm Right Uber Alles" position, which had solidified by the time we came along.
I am grateful almost exclusively to Mom and you for the good things from those years. The thing I am grateful to both our parents for is not indoctrinating us with any god/religion/prayer nonsense. That crap is hard to shake if you're brainwashed early enough.
