The text reflects my beliefs about life, too. But what makes this great is the composition. Our hero is at a table in a darkened room ruled by a giant clock (implacability and limited supply of time), but his interior life is in the light bubble, filled with writing. Bridging the bubble where ideas, memories and thoughts are given shape and permanence, and the dim room ruled by time is the writer. Great visual presentation of what it is to be an artist. It reminds me of Asimov saying even hell wouldn't be so bad if he could write all the time. Art: secular religion worth practicing!

A blank book with a fancy cover. Sounds like Sarah Palin.
But seriously, I wholeheartedly agree with your secret of life.

that is most definitely the Metro.

i once bought a book with a fancy cover from goodwill... took out the insides... put in blank paper. I gave it to Meagan for an anniversary present. she uses it as a journal and loves it.
